Strategic Planning is not Strategy Management

Traditional Strategic Planning is not built for the challenges that face today’s businesses. In order to drive results, outperform industry peers, and thrive in a world that is rooted in the unexpected, companies need to be able to manage strategy so that all employees at that company understand what strategy is, how success will be measured against it, and what the company is doing to achieve that success. To do so, a different set of tools are required.

We Use A Standard Set of Tools

We did not invent this kind of Strategy Management. We have Bob Kaplan and David Norton to thank for that.

We use the entire Kaplan/Norton Strategy Management Framework - not just balanced scorecards or strategy maps. Used in isolation, single tools might be helpful, but only when they are used together in the entire framework can the full benefit of Strategy Management be realized: plans that are 3 times more likely to succeed.

Easy to use tools that facilitate strategy formulation, visualization, measurement, execution, operations, and monitoring equip any leadership team with strategy management capability.

In less than three weeks.

We can do this quickly.

By using a standard framework and structured sessions, we help teams build company-specific tools that enable strategy management in less than three weeks. If leadership is available, this can be completed in even less time.

We require six, 2-3 hour sessions over this time frame. This is about the same amount of time companies would use in a typical “strategy off-site,” except that these sessions can be conveniently scheduled so that no one needs to be “off the field” for an unnecessary amount of time.
